Why people pick us

Why our patios earn the dinner.

Commercial-grade strings, real catenary, proper anchors, and dimmers on every run. The lighting most guests never think about is the lighting that decides whether the night carries past dessert.

  • Real catenary, real anchors

Commercial bistro strings on engineered anchors and tensioned catenary cable. The lines stay taut, the bulbs don't sag, the canopy holds up across seasons instead of sagging by the end of summer.

  • Designed for your patio

Every backyard is different. We plan the runs, the anchor points, the dimmer zones, and the fixture pairing for the patio you actually have, not a generic kit pulled off a truck.

  • Dimmable, controllable

Strings, uplights, and step lights on dimmers or smart switches. Bright before guests arrive, warm and low through dinner, hold at a glow through the firepit. The patio shifts with the night.

  • Built to stay up

Marine-grade fasteners, weatherproof connections, fixtures rated for the wet zone around pools and spas. Built once for year-round outdoor living, not strung up and pulled down every season.

What we light

From the first drink to the last fire.

Every patio reads in three parts after dusk. Cafe-string canopies overhead, the dining and lounge tables in the middle, and the pool, firepit, and edges that hold the rest of the yard. We design all three as one composition.

  • Spanish revival home at deep-blue dusk with warm bistro string lights on dedicated black steel posts, a paver herringbone patio, a farmhouse dining table in the foreground with lanterns and a centerpiece, an outdoor kitchen with bar stools in the mid-ground, vineyard rows behind

    Bistro canopies & dinner

    • Bistro strings
    • Pergolas
    • Dimmable

Warm cafe strings traced across the canopy. Anchored, taut, on dimmers. The dinner table reads right from sunset through dessert without anyone touching a switch.

  • Hilltop Tuscan / Spanish home at dusk-to-sunset with warm bistro string lights overhead, a round stone firepit at center with lounge chairs encircling, an outdoor kitchen and bar with stools in the mid-ground, additional bistro strings under a pergola at right, a valley view in the distance

    Firepit & lounge

    • Firepit
    • Lounge
    • Step lights

Round firepit corners, lounge nooks, step lights on the patio stairs. The seating that earns a second drink after dinner. Warm low light, not flood.

  • Modern Spanish home at deep-blue dusk with warm bistro string lights overhead under a pergola at left, a large farmhouse dining table and lounge with a linear gas firepit in the middle, a swimming pool and overflowing spa with landscape uplighting at right, palms with a sunset peeking at the right horizon

    Poolside evenings

    • Pool
    • Outdoor kitchen
    • Uplighting

Pool and spa edges, outdoor kitchen counters, palms and olive trees uplit at the perimeter. The whole yard reads as one room, not the patio plus a dark backyard.

Bistro canopy, long table.

A Southern California estate backyard at deep-blue dusk. Warm bistro strings traced between black steel posts across the full canopy, a long farmhouse dining table down the middle, a linear gas firepit running along the planter wall, an outdoor fireplace and lounge holding the far end of the patio.

Designed in advance, installed before the first guests arrived, dimmer-tuned at golden hour. The yard reads as one continuous lit room across the patio, the dining table, and the fire. The mountains do the rest.

Want your patio lit like this?

Tell us how you actually use the yard, what's already out there, and what you want the lighting to do. We come back with a plan and a scope that fits the way you entertain.

What homeowners say

In theirown words.

We had a beautiful patio that we basically stopped using once the sun went down. He walked through what we wanted, hung a full bistro canopy over the dining area, lit the pool edge and the palms, and put everything on dimmers. We are out there four nights a week now.

Backyard bistro canopy + pool uplighting

The strings I had up before were sagging by August, and the bulbs would knock together every time the wind picked up. His install is on real catenary cable with proper anchors. It is a different category. The bulbs sit where he hung them and the patio actually reads at night.

Pergola bistro replacement + step lights

We host a lot. He scoped the dining run, the lounge, the firepit, and the pool as one plan instead of just hanging a string and calling it done. Dimmers tuned the night of, walked the panel with us, easy to text if anything goes funky. We tell every neighbor who asks.

Our promise

If a bulb drops, we replace it.

A bulb out, a string that fails, a dimmer that won't dim. Send a text and we handle it. The patio is supposed to be the easy part of your house, not another vendor on your list.

The process

How a patio install actually goes.

No surprises on install day. Every part of the patio is scoped with you before any anchor goes in, so the lighting lands the way you pictured it.

  1. 01

A call or a quick lead form

Tell us what's out there and how you actually use the yard. Dinners, lounging, pool nights, kid bedtimes. We work from photos of the patio, a sketch, or a walk through the yard if that's easier on your end.

  2. 02

    Scope your patio

We come back with a plan for the canopy runs, the anchor points, the dimmer zones, and any pool, firepit, or pathway accents that round out the yard. Adjust the scope until it lines up with how you actually use the patio.

  3. 03

    Install on the agreed date

Same crew that scoped the patio is the crew installing. Strings hung on real catenary, fixtures placed and aimed, dimmers tuned at golden hour, every run walked once before we leave the property.

  4. 04

    Service and support

A bulb out, a dimmer issue, a fixture that needs a hand. Send a text. The patio stays the easy part of the house instead of another thing on your list to manage.

Light up my patio
Worth it

The nights you spend out there.

The first drink on the lounge when the sun drops. The dinner that runs past dessert because nobody wants to go in. The kids in the pool an hour later than usual. The friends still around the firepit when you finally stoke it down. The patio earns its hours back the first month.

What you don't deal with
  • Sagging plastic strings
  • Bulbs out by August
  • Floods bright as a parking lot
  • A switch you can't dim
  • Strings you put up and take down

The patio should be the easy room of the house. Lit, dimmable, ready.

Questions

What homeowners ask us first.

How does bistro and patio lighting work with All Occasions?

Start with a call or a quick lead form. Tell us what's already out there, how you actually use the patio, and what you want the lighting to do once the sun drops. We work from photos of the patio, a sketch, or a walk through the yard if that's easier on your end. We come back with a plan for the canopy runs, the anchor points, the dimmers, and any pool, firepit, or pathway accents that round out the yard. Adjust the scope, lock the date, install, dimmer-tune at golden hour. The patio is ready before the next dinner.

Do you do bistro strings only, or full patio programs?

Both. Plenty of installs are a canopy of bistro strings over a pergola or open patio and nothing else. Plenty of others fold in pool and spa uplighting, step lights on the patio stairs, firepit accents, outdoor kitchen task light, and perimeter trees on dimmers. Whatever pulls people outside more often is the lighting we plan.

Are the strings permanent or do you take them down?

Most patio bistro installs are permanent. Real catenary cable, engineered anchors, weatherproof fittings, commercial-grade strings with replaceable bulbs. The canopy stays up year-round and stays taut across seasons. We service it on the same call list as the rest of the install.

Can the lights be dimmed?

Yes, and they should be. Every install runs on dimmers or smart switches tuned at golden hour. Bistro strings come up bright before guests arrive, soften through dinner, hold at a glow through the firepit, and warm down for the last hour. The patio reads right at every part of the night, not just one.

Will it work with my pergola or covered patio?

Almost always. We work with wood pergolas, steel pergolas, covered porches, open patios, balconies, and multi-level decks. The anchor plan flexes to what's already built. If a clean anchor isn't there, we add dedicated posts or beams that read as part of the architecture.

Can you light the pool, firepit, and trees too?

Yes. Bistro canopies are usually the centerpiece, but the patio reads as one room when the pool, spa, firepit, palms, and perimeter trees are lit on the same plan. Brass and copper uplights for the trees, low-voltage path and step lights along the patio, weatherproof fixtures rated for the wet zone around the pool.

What if a bulb drops or a string fails?

Send a text. The crew that installed is on the call list, and the patio stays the easy room of the house. Replaceable bulbs, weatherproof fittings, fixtures that hold up across seasons. The lighting is something we maintain, not something you have to track.

Do you light commercial patios too, like restaurants, wineries, hotels?

Yes. Plenty of our bistro and patio work runs through restaurants, wineries, boutique hotels, and event venues that want the same magazine-tier canopy on a commercial setup. Anchors, dimmers, service, and code-compliant wiring are all part of the install on the commercial side too.

Ready when you are

Stay out later, year round.

Tell us about the patio, what's already out there, and how you actually want to use it. We come back with a plan, a scope, and a hold on the calendar that lines up with the way you entertain.

One patio. One plan. Built to stay up.
